High Impact Economic News for the week of October 25th

Last week has seen a lot of high impact news events that have caused price to move greatly. If you pay attention to the news and make the right predictions, you have a very good chance of making a good amount of pips.
This week’s high impact news events will start on Monday, October 26th at 1:30 (GMT) when the Australian Bureau of Statistics releases its PPI. The forecast for this event is 0.3%. If the actual amount is greater than the forecasted amount, expect the AUD to strengthen. Afterwards, at 19:35 (GMT), the Bank of England’s Adam Posen will speak. His speech may contain some clues to the future monetary policy of the GBP.
Tuesday, October 27th’s high impact economic events will start at 12:00 (GMT) when the Confederation of British Industry releases its CBI Realized Sales. The forecast for this event is 6. If the actual amount is greater than the forecasted amount, the GBP may become stronger. At 15:00 (GMT), the Conference Board will release its Consumer Confidence. The forecast for this event is 53.7. If the actual amount is greater than the forecasted amount, expect the USD to strengthen. Tuesday’s final event will occur at 16:00 (GMT), when the Bank of Canada’s Governor, Mark Carney speaks. His speech may contain hints to the future monetary policy of the CAD.
Wednesday’s high impact news events will start at 1:30 (GMT) when the Australian Bureau of Statistics releases its CPI. The forecast for this event is 0.9%. If the actual amount is greater than the forecasted amount, expect the AUD to strengthen. The National Bank of New Zealand will later release its Business Confidence at 3:00 (GMT). The forecast for this event is 49.1. If the actual amount is greater than the forecasted amount, expect the NZD to strengthen. At 13:30 (GMT), the Census Bureau will release its Core Durable Goods Orders. The forecast for this event is 0.6%. If the actual amount is greater than the forecasted amount, expect the USD to strengthen. At 15:00 (GMT), the Census Bureau will then release the New Home Sales. The forecast for this event is 443K. If the actual amount is greater than the forecasted amount, expect the USD to strengthen. At 21:00 (GMT), the Reserve Bank of New Zealand will release its Official Cash Rate. The forecast for this event is 2.50%. If the actual amount is greater than the forecasted amount, expect the NZD to strengthen. At the same time, the RBNZ will release its Rate Statement. Traders should read it for clues to the future monetary policy of the NZD.
On Thursday, October 29th, the Bureau of Economic Analysis will release its Advance GBP. The forecast for this event is 3.1%. If the actual amount is greater than the forecasted amount, expect the USD to strengthen. Also at 13:30 (GMT), the USD will be further affected by the Department of Labor’s Unemployment Claims. The forecast for this event is 522K. If the actual amount is less than the forecasted amount, expect the USD to strengthen. Thursday’s final event will occur at 22:45 (GMT) when Statitics New Zealand releases its Building Consents. The forecast for this event is 1.7%. If the actual amount is greater than the forecasted amount, expect the NZD to increase.
Friday will bring a close to this week’s high impact economic events. At 8:00 (GMT), the Nationwide Building Society will release its Nationwide HPI. The forecast for this event is 0.7%. If the actual amount is greater than the forecasted amount, expect the GBP to strengthen. This week’s final high impact news event will occur at 13:30 (GMT), when Statistics Canada releases its GDP. The forecast for this event is 0.1%. If the actual amount is greater than the forecasted amount, expect the CAD to strengthen.
