Hi there, I'm a complete novice to this kind of thing. I was told by somebody that it is against the law to trade Forex while in reciept of Incapacity Benefit, is this true ?.

Do I need to inform the DWP before trying this, and do I need to inform the Tax Office ?.

Thanx in advance.

I think you need to talk to a qualified tax and/or benefits advisor about this question Steve. I wouldn't go on advice that I had got from a forum if I were you.

When I lived in the UK (many moons ago), there was an organisation called the Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB). They used to give reliable financial advice to people on benefits. If they are still up and running, maybe you could start by asking them.

Thanks for the advice. The CAB are still running, I will give them a try.
