Hello

This thread will discuss the Academy's latest educational product: Colt FX.

Colt FX has been designed with both the absolute beginner and the more experienced trader in mind. The course is modular and shows the client how to fully understand and use the Colt FX intraday trading system. The course is fully interactive and we will be publishing our readings of the Colt FX system for three hours of each trading day.

Colt FX is currently being tested in-house and in the near future we will looking for volunteers for our beta version testing team.

If you are interested in being considered for the testing team or you would like to know more about Colt FX, please post here.

Hey

:D Hey Mike

Colt Fx is an intraday trading system designed specifially for intraday trading on the currency market AND it is a distance learning course that enables you to understand and fully exploit the trading system.

The beta testers would need to work their way through the system and report any problems or possible improvements to the course.

I'm sorry but we can't promise 100k, but I think there will be some financial incentive for the beta testers: this is still under discussion.

Interested?

:) That's great news Rita, I'll put you on our volunteer list and we'll be in touch direct soon via the address on your website. After taking a look at your blog and website, I feel that your insights and comments are going to make a massive contribution to the success of Colt FX.

Thanks too for your feedback on the films. I've found working on camera quite a challenge and think that I have improved with each film. I only hope that the powers that be decide that its worthwhile continuing making movies.

Hello Mike
Here is more info on the Colt FX distance learning course. There are 5 modules and once you have covered all the work in the course you'll be able to use Colt FX.
One advantage of Colt FX is that it limits the time that you spend on the market and also, like all good trading systems, it keeps decision making while you are on the market to an absolute minimum.
This is a rundown on the contents of each module:

Module 1 discusses the Forex market; its conventions and how to trade with the Rumus2 trade terminal. There are short tests at the end of each part of module 1 so that you can monitor your progress.

Module 2 looks at the elements from Chart analysis that Colt FX uses. These are levels of support and resistance and candlestick patterns. Module 2 includes a number of practical homework tasks that you can either post on the forum for group discussion or send to using our homework mailbox.

Module 3 covers the technical indicators in Colt FX. These are simple and exponential moving averages; RAVI; RSI and Stochastic. By the end of module 3 you will know what they are, what they do and how Colt FX uses them. Module 3 has practical homework tasks which we will be happy to comment on either on the forum or by e-mail.

Module 4 presents the theoretical basis of Colt FX and how Colt FX combines all its elements to produce signals to open a position. Module 4 also looks at strategies for closing a position. Module 4 contains practical homework tasks which we look forward to discussing with you.

Module 5 shows you how to set Colt FX up on the Rumus2 trading platform. It also contains advice on how to spend as little time as possible making Colt FX work for you. There are no homework tasks in module 5. The only homework is to practice, ask questions and then practice some more!

Plesae let me know if you need me to send you my personal information in order to be considered for the program.

I'll certainly put your name on the volunteers list.

Hi Smitty

I'm glad the videos have been useful. If you do get the chance to watch them again and you have any questions/comments/ideas, post them on the films thread I started a week or so ago. I'd really like to get that thread active. If you have any specific requests for film topics, post them too.

We are still adding names to the list of beta testers, so you are now on it. I'll contact you via email for contact info etc.

I'll be in touch soon

Hi I am new to the forex tradeing. I find your online videos great. I enjoy the one on candle sticks very much. I have watch it sevral times and every time I always find some thing I did not pick up before. It takes me several viewings of the same film to realy understand every thing. I don't believe you can learn every thing at once. I would love to sign up for this beta system you got going, if there is still room for more new members that is. I would love to learn all I can about intraday tradeing. Right now I only use my practice account to trade on. But I do have a live mini account with Forex.com. But they dont really show any real trainig video's. Where they explain every thing in simple plain langrage. Mainly every thing there is design around around a standard accounts ($5000.00 or above ) Nothing for the little guy with a mini accounts ( under $300.00 ) . So I am looking to learn all I can.

Thank You For Your Time

Hello Chris,

No, Colt FX is not a fully automated platform. Rather, it is a fully transparent trading system that you use to read the market to obtain signals to open and close positions.

It is an intraday trading and was designed with Rumus2 in mind. However, it can be used on any decent trading platform.

I've completed all the sections of the primer, read your book, and listened to the videos ( have trouble with the video but audio comes through fine, sort of like a slide show), and I've experimented with my demo account. Hello Chris

The bapypips site and Forex Factory that Charlie recommends are both very useful.

I am currently reading 'Trading in the zone' by Mark Douglas. I'm finding it really useful and would heartily recommend it. 'Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets' by John Murphy is a great book. It's a bit pricey, but I constantly refer to it and it's well worth every penny.

ColtFX was primarily designed with people new to Forex in mind. More experienced traders will find the more streamlined ColtFX Fast track more suitable for them. Module 1 of Colt FX will be available free of charge and is in itself a good intro to Forex.

also where would be a good place for someone who knows nothing about this to start learning
Please take a look at the Making money manual and Forex Primer. They are both free in the Forex Club member area. Also check this thread
