the meanings of swap
if I buy BGP/USD will I be + or - ?
if I buy BGP/JPY will I be + or - ?
if I buy EUR/BGP will I be + or - ?
if I buy EUR/USD will I be + or - ?

Swap is basically the interest you pay or get paid to hold or roll over an open position.
