When I opened my demo account and downloaded the software it opened in the game mode, which I did not want. When I tried to open the regular mode it would not let me. Why?

Eckco, maybe you were trying to access the market while it was closed (from Fridays 21.00 GMT - Sundays 21.00 GMT).
Try during the week and see if that helps.
